NEW YORK, NY (January 27, 2009) – NAMCO BANDAI Games America Inc. and Food Network, the first cable network dedicated to the power and joy of food, announced today that fans of the top-selling video game, Food Network: Cook or Be Cooked, will now have the opportunity to win a delectable prize pack in conjunction with the most realistic cooking game on Wii™.

The interactive video game, which simulates cooking methods and techniques, has been a hit with Wii players since its launch in December and is sold at major retailers throughout North America. Sales for Food Network: Cook or Be Cooked have been robust and continue to be a top-seller as well as customer favorite at FoodNetworkStore.com.

Hot on the heels of the video game’s release, NAMCO BANDAI Games America Inc. and Food Network have cooked up an appetizing sweepstakes in which participants can win an ultimate prize pack, exclusively through Food Network Store. Now through February 28, 2010, participants can register to win one of five grand prizes which include a Wii, a copy of the Food Network: Cook or Be Cooked video game, a Food Network apron, and two Food Network reusable shopping bags. Sweepstakes entry form and rules can be found at the Food Network Store website: www.FoodNetworkStore.com.

“We are delighted over the excitement around Food Network: Cook or Be Cooked,” said Amanda Melnick, Director, New Business Marketing at Food Network. “The game has been well-received and we are thrilled to bring Food Network into people’s homes in a fresh, interactive way.”

“With the collaborative effort of the Food Network, we have been able to produce the most realistic culinary video game simulation ever created,” said Todd Thorson director of marketing and public relations for NAMCO BANDAI Games. “As an extension of our relationship, we are thrilled to offer everyone the chance to test their gastronomic skills and tantalize their taste buds.”

The agreement between Food Network and NAMCO BANDAI Games America Inc. was facilitated by Brandgenuity LLC. Food Network: Cook or Be Cooked for Wii trains players in the proper methods required to become an accomplished chef. Using the motion control capabilities, players can master an array of culinary techniques as they progress through more than 30 fun and delicious Food Network recipes. Designed to take the cooking experience from practice to practical, the game gives players the cooking “chops” they need to create each dish in their real kitchen with ease. For those looking for company in the kitchen, or a little friendly competition, the game lets up to four players cook side-by-side in cooperative Hot Potato multiplayer mode, or face-off in a two-player split screen competitive mode.
