Genius Brands Expands Llama Llama Licensing Program and Names Brandgenuity Agency of Record in UK, Ireland, Italy, Spain, Hungary, Poland, Romania.

"Genius Brands" (NASDAQ:GNUS), owner of the Llama Llama trademark, announced today that Brandgenuity will serve as the brand’s licensing agency in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Italy, Spain, Hungary, Poland, and Romania. The beloved Llama Llama franchise started as a world-renowned children’s book property and is now an animated series on Netflix, both of which have captured the hearts of preschoolers and their parents around the world.

Penguin Random House has sold more than 20 million copies of Anna Dewdney’s original Llama Llama book series, with nine new titles launching in 2018. Netflix picked up the original cartoon series, featuring the voice of Jennifer Garner as Mama Llama, and it has been translated into 22 languages and already renewed for a second season. Llama Llama’s strong Netflix presence opens up many more opportunities to expand the brand hoofprint even further.
The Llama Llama story revolves around a young star, Llama Llama, and his mother, Mama Llama. Together, they navigate the twists and turns of childhood, along with an exciting cast of Llama Llama’s friends including Nelly Gnu, Gilroy Goat, Luna Giraffe, and Euclid Sheep.
